Ninoy Aquino International Airport is the primary international airport that serves the Greater Manila Area. Founded in 1948 the airport was previously known to the public as Manila International Airport. Named after the former senator of Philippine Benigno “Ninoy” Aquino Jr., the airport is located 7km south from Manila proper. MNL Airport has a total of four passenger terminals.
